GE Transitions: Summer 2024 Funding Opportunities

Dear Colleagues,

The CSU Chancellor’s Office has authorized one-time funding to support implementation of the new CSU General Education Unified Pathway, which will take effect in Fall 2025. 

I am pleased to announce the allocation of these funds to support the following opportunities for Summer 2024 as we begin our curriculum revisions to align with the new GE requirements.

1. Department Micro-Grants:   Limited funding is available from the Office of Undergraduate Education to support department-level projects related to the Fall 2025 CSU GE Requirements during Summer 2024.  Funds are limited and priority will be given to departments that are most directly affected by the changes to CSU GE Requirements. Maximum budget request is $4000.

2. GE Transition Workshops: Faculty and GE Coordinators are invited to participate in a GE Transitions Workshop in Summer/Fall 2024 to focus on updating Program Roadmaps, advising materials, and other curriculum updates related to the new CSU GE Requirements. Participants will receive a $500 stipend, limited to 1-2 representatives from each department.

The Academic Senate will also be convening a Summer 2024 working group to update our 菠菜网lol正规平台 GE Guidelines to align with these new requirements, and will report out to the full campus at the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester.
